EMPLOYER TABLES A NEW OFFER
The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union (SATAWU) met with the employer in the Private Security Sector, on the 1st of September 2022 to submit its picketing rules for the planned National Strike to commence on the 26th of September in the Sector, only if the employer does not give a bitter and a reasonable offer between now and the 12th of this month.
When handing over the picket rules the employer tabled a new offer, however as a Union, we take a mandate from our workers and members, we, therefore, could not take nor reject the new proposal before our members could discuss whether to consider the offer or not.
The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union would like to invite its members and Workers in the Security Sector for the new offer mandatory purposes, The meetings will take place as follows:

The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union would like to inform its members in other provinces that, it will keep them updated on the dates and venues in their respective provinces regarding this matter and the meeting will definitely take place in all our provinces before the 11th of September.
SATAWU has a responsibility to protect and fight for its members, we, therefore, wish to emphasize that the decision on whether to take the revised offer or would, is that one of our members.

Please update about the percentage of a new offer
We have no choice. If they are refusing that 16% we have to strike
I would like to know the new offer .I will not be available for a meeting today , at Philippi station
We need a good wage not peanuts, or else we go to street at least R8,700 a month
Ehhhh… How far are you with negotiations, are we still going on strike or you’ve reached an agreement with the employer?
